The following terms and conditions form the basis of your contract with TAG Host. They set out our respective rights and obligations and you should therefore read them carefully.
1. Booking
A contract will exist between us when we have processed your booking and received your deposit (or full balance, if less than 8 weeks prior to the course date). We will provide you with an email receipt or payment and summary of your booking details. Please check this carefully and let us know immediately if anything is incorrect. All correspondence will be with the person named on the confirmation invoice who accepts the following conditions on behalf of all participants.
2. Payment
A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required to secure your booking, this is payable immediately upon booking.
The balance of your payment is due 8 weeks before the course start date. If payment is not made by the due date, we reserve the right to advise you of the cancellation of your course booking and make a cancellation charge at the appropriate rate. No compensation will be provided.
Full payment must accompany bookings made within 8 weeks of the course start date.
Accepted payment methods are bank transfer, credit and debit card.
TAG Host will not be held responsible for charges incurred by yourself for international bank transfer costs or charges imposed on you by your bank or card issuer. This also includes payment discrepancies or additional costs caused by variations in exchange rates used by your bank or card issuer.
In the event of dishonored payments the person names on the confirmation invoice will be contacted to make immediate payment by other means. If there is a failure to make payment by other means we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain any deposits paid.
3. Insurance
It is a condition of booking that you have adequate insurance for your stay with us. When you arrange your own insurance, by making a booking with us you agree to indemnify us against any costs that we incur in connection with any event that should have been covered by your insurance. It is your responsibility to ensure the insurance cover you purchase is suitable and adequate for your particular requirement, including any activities or excursions you plant to undertake.
4. Alternations and/or Cancellation by you
Should you wish to make any changes to your course arrangements after they have been confirmed, you must advise us in writing. Whilst we will endeavour to assist, we cannot guarantee we will be able to meet any such requests. It may also be necessary to levy an administrative charge of £25 per person to process any alterations. However, if a major amendment is requested less than 4 weeks prior to the course start date, we reserve the right to treat your request as a cancellation.
If you find that you cannot take your place on the course booked and have to cancel, for whatever reason, your deposit will be forfeited to cover our costs. We must receive written confirmation of your cancellation. If we receive your written cancellation within 4 weeks of your course start date you will be required to cover the course fees in full unless you, or we, can find an alternative student to take your place. We recommend that students take out their own insurance against cancellation for any reason outside their control.
5. Alterations and/or Cancellations by us
We reserve the right to make minor alterations to the website and course arrangements before and after bookings have been confirmed. In the case of a minor or significant alteration being made we will advise you at the earliest possible date. In the event of a significant alteration, you may accept it or cancel your place on the course and receive a full refund. Tag Host will pay no compensation.
Very rarely, it may be necessary for us to cancel a confirmed course. We must reserve the right to do so. If we do so you will receive a full refund of all the monies paid. We accept no legal liability and will pay no compensation.
We may be forced to cancel a course after the date of commencement where circumstances amounting to ‘force majeure’ occur as described in Clause 8 below. In this very unusual situation, we regret we cannot make any refunds (except where refunds are obtained from a supplier), meet any cost or expenses you may incur as a result or pay any compensation.
6. Unforeseen and Unavoidable Circumstances
We will not have any liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by any event which we could not reasonably foresee or avoid. Such events include (but are not limited to) war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, epidemics or pandemics, government rulings, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.
7. Our Liability
We accept responsibility for ensuring that all parts of our contract with you are properly performed subject to the following exceptions. We cannot accept liability where any failure to perform or improper performance was due to: (i) the act(s) and/or omission(s) of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party or (ii) those of a third party not connected with the provision of your course arrangements and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable or (iii) an event which either ourselves or the supplier of the services in question could not have foreseen or forestalled even with all due care.
In the event of any liability being accepted, we shall not be liable for more than the price of your course.
ACTIVITIES OPERATED BY TAG HOST: If you undertake any TAG HOST organised activities or excursions, we cannot accept responsibility for any injuries or accidents, however caused. TAG HOST personnel do not have professional guiding, teaching or first aid qualifications. At all times clients must use their judgement based on their own abilities, and all activities are at their own risk.
8. Your Liability
When you book a course with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be made at the time to ourselves. If you fail to do so, you must indemnify us against any claims (including legal costs) made against us as a result of your actions.
When you book a course with us you accept responsibility for the proper conduct of yourself whilst attending the course. If in our reasonable opinion you behave in such a way as to cause or to be likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any third party (including staff or other students) or damage to property, we reserve the right to terminate the course without notice. This includes excessive noise, inside or within the grounds of the chalet or course location, after 10pm.
In this situation, our responsibilities (including any return transport arrangements) will immediately cease and we will not be responsible for meeting any costs or expenses they may incur as a result. We will not make any refunds or pay any compensation to the individual(s) involved.
9. Passport, Visa and Health Requirements
We cannot accept any liability if you are refused entry onto a flight or into any country due to failure on your part to carry the correct passport, visa or other documents required by any airline or authority. Requirements may change and you should check the up-to-date position with the Passport Office and your doctor in good time before departure. Before travelling you are advised to check with your own doctor for your own medical requirements.
If you have any medical problem or disability which may affect your attendance on the course, you must advise us in writing at the time of booking giving full details. If we reasonably feel unable to properly accommodate your particular needs, we must reserve the right to decline your booking, or cancel it when we find out the full details if you fail to provide these at the time of booking.
10. Lost/Stolen or Damage to Property
TAG Host will endeavour to deal with any loss or damage issues during your stay. In the event that damage is not brought to our attention during this period, and is learned of after your departure, TAG Host will contact you with 72 hours of you leaving the Chalet to confirm additional charges to be charged.
Any student not properly securing the exits or windows of the property, including balcony and garage doors, will be liable for any TAG Host property stolen as a result of that negligence.
TAG Host will not be held responsible for any theft or loss of any personal possessions from our premises / vehicles. Whilst TAG Host will endeavour to ensure the security of guests’ personal possessions, TAG Host cannot guarantee it.
Each student is responsible for the safety of all their own personal possessions, documents and equipment. No responsibility or liability will be accepted in respect of such items as it is a condition of your booking (and therefore reasonably assumed by TAG Host) that all guests have taken out appropriate insurance to cover such loss and/or damage.
11. Smoking
For health and safety reasons, smoking is strictly prohibited within our chalets. If students wish to smoke they must do so outside of these areas or within the designated smoking spaces.
12. Illegal Substances
Smoking or taking illegal substances in or around our chalets will not be tolerated. Any student involved in such activities will be asked to vacate leave the course. TAG Host reserve the right to refuse to further accommodate them and contractual obligations will be terminated immediately. No compensation will be payable.
13. Termination
TAG Host reserves the right to terminate the training of any student without reimbursement of fees if they are guilty of unreasonable or improper conduct, or breach of the chalet rules.
If a student chooses to leave during a course they will not be eligible for reimbursement of fees.
Any student whose training is terminated, or who choses to terminate their training, will be responsible for arranging their own travel home, at their own expense. Any terminated students will be given not more than 24 hours to vacate the chalet.
14. Photography & Videos
At times, TAG Host may take photographs and videos during courses and activities for future publication on the company’s website and for marketing purposes.
If you do not wish to be photographed or videoed, please advise us at the time of booking.
